For customers with e-mail, a cell phone or PDA, Metro offers
two services to provide you with service updates.
ELLEN
Because we know the importance of elevators for our customers with
disabilities, we have implemented the ELLEN (Electronic Elevator
Notification) system. With this system, in addition to information
on elevator status available via telephone or website, customers
can be notified of elevator outages by e-mail, pager, cell phone
text message or PDA. Customers can specify which stations’ elevators
they wish to monitor, and which days and times they wish to monitor.
While Metro charges no fee for the ELLEN subscription service,
individual Internet, pager or cell providers may. Customers can
subscribe to the service by clicking
here.
Information
on elevator status is also available by calling (202) 962-1212.
eAlerts
The Metrorail eAlert e-mail subscription service notifies customers
of rail service disruptions. When subscribing to the service, customers
can indicate which rail lines they wish to monitor. Text eAlert
messages can be sent to e-mail accounts, cell phones, pagers and
PDAs.
While Metro charges no fee for the eAlert subscription service,
individual Internet, pager or cell providers may. Customers can
subscribe to the service by clicking
