Start! Greater Washington Heart Walk Did you know that for every hour of exercise, like brisk walking, you can add two hours on to your life?
Bring you family, friends and even your dog! Take steps towards a heart healthy life and join us at the Start! Greater Washington Region Heart Walk!
The Start! Greater Washington Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s mission in action. This annual celebration promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family and pet-friendly environment. There will be healthy snacks, cooking demos, entertainment, a kids corner and displays. More than 10,000 walkers are anticipated to participate in this one or 2.9 mile walk on The National Mall. Step out in the fight against heart disease and stroke by helping us raise $2 million for the American Heart Association’s life-saving mission - to build healthy lives free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

  • Saturday, November 14, 2009, Activities begin at 8:30 am, Start! Heart Walk steps off at 10 am
